  Park Road Baptist Church: An inclusive church where ALL are welcomed. I have found this place to be a sanctuary of free and honest inquiry, sound theological scholarship, warm and caring congregation, social missions, and great music. They have gifted child and youth leaders and a campus that is open all week to various community programs. But the preaching is my favorite.

  If you are looking for a church that says it has all the answers and tells you just what to do and how to think, this is NOT that place. If you want to be a part of a thinking, loving and non-judgmental community that emphasizes the good news and service to others, this could be right for you. Dress up or dress casual - you'll be welcomed and just might keep coming back as I have done for a very long time!

  This has been a wonderful church for us. It's a progressive church that is still rooted in Baptist theological heritage, focused on social action and community involvement. The preaching is fantastic, the people are friendly, and our child loves the children's programming. So glad we found this community!

  As young adults, my wife and I were very restless and church-hopped from non-denominational communities, organic churches (meeting in someone's living room), mega-churches, First Baptist churches, Unitarians, Episcopalians...the list goes on and on. We thought we'd never find a place to call our own "home church." So we decided to just go it alone. After a couple of years of that not working out so well, we moved to Charlotte and, by complete happenstance, attended Park Road Baptist Church. I could tell you about the gifted pastors and their messages that resonate down to the bone, I could tell you about the different groups that really define an all-encompassing community, I could go on and on about justice, love, hope, peace, mercy, equality, etc. Or I could just tell you that walking into Park Road Baptist Church for the first time was like property virgins searching for their very first house and, after months and months of eagerly and exhaustively searching, suddenly finding that space that felt like home.
